Over the past few years, one of the most pop­u­lar types of trav­el has been tours of the world’s major wine regions. many tourists do not miss the oppor­tu­ni­ty to pur­chase a tour of the winer­ies and the areas sur­round­ing them. This is not sur­pris­ing, because there real­ly is some­thing to admire. In this col­lec­tion, I will talk about five famous places in the world where great wine is made. Nappa Valley, California, USA

The Nap­pa Val­ley is known as the first place in Amer­i­ca where wine­mak­ing reached such heights that it was rec­og­nized inter­na­tion­al­ly. Nowa­days, some of the best winer­ies in the world are locat­ed here. The grapes here are excel­lent due to the Mediter­ranean cli­mate and the soil enriched with vol­canic ash. The most famous wines pro­duced here are Robert Mon­davi, Har­lan Estate and Château Mon­te­le­na. We have already writ­ten about one of the Quixote Win­ery winer­ies. It was built by the famous archi­tect Frieden­sre­ich Hun­dert­wass­er.

Tuscany, Italy

This pic­turesque area pro­duces some of the best wines in the world. Among them are such mas­ter­pieces as Chi­anti Clas­si­co, Carmignano and Brunel­lo. They also make an inter­est­ing drink called Super Tus­can. The inhab­i­tants of Tus­cany are right­ful­ly proud of their work, in which they put all their strength and inspi­ra­tion. The region of Greve in Chi­anti makes one of the tru­ly best wines in the world.

Mosel, Germany

In this area, the rivers Ruw­er and Saar, flow­ing through the pic­turesque rur­al land­scapes of Ger­many, flow into the Moselle Riv­er. These breath­tak­ing land­scapes are home to some of the finest wines in the world. A good har­vest of excel­lent grapes is har­vest­ed here thanks to the warm sun and soil rich in nutri­ents. The most pop­u­lar grape vari­ety here is Ries­ling. Local attrac­tions also include the famous Cochem Cas­tle.

Burgundy, France

This famous area is locat­ed on what was once the ocean floor, now cov­ered in fer­tile soil ide­al for grow­ing grapes. Among the most famous local wines are Pinot Noir and Chardon­nay.
